Geno S. DeFrancisis

Geno S. DeFrancisis, born Feb. 16, 1928, in Avella, died Friday, June 12, 2015, in St. Petersburg, Fla. He has lived in St. Pete Beach since 1984 following his retirement from U.S. Steel as a lab technician. He served honorably in the Army from 1950 to 1952 as a sergeant. He is survived by a loving family consisting of his wife of 61 years, Rita Ann DeSalvo DeFrancisis; two sons, Dr. Domenick (Becky) DeFrancisis, of Sarver, and Anthony (Elizabeth) DeFrancisis, of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren, Kristi, Michael, Natalie Ann, Joseph and Jeffrey; as well as two sisters, Hilda Alesii, of Canonsburg, and Norma Mele, of Arnold; and a brother, Arthur DeFrancisis, of Vandergrift.
