Paul Jurkiewicz

Paul "Skip" Jurkiewicz, 78, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in Mercy Jeannette Hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Export, a son of the late Peter and Julia (Karp) Jurkiewicz. He was a retired employee of the Buncher Co., Export, and previously worked as a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ivy M. (Brown) Jurkiewicz, on Dec. 13, 1998; a grandson, Jeffrey Jurkiewicz; three brothers, Peter, John and Edward Jurkiewicz; and four sisters, Verna Stapinsky, Laura Hajnosz, Mary Cain and Genevieve Jurkiewicz. Surviving are a son, Paul A. Jurkiewicz; a daughter, Becky A. Jurkiewicz; and a grandson, Paul S. Jurkiewicz, all of North Huntingdon; three sisters, Helen Stapinsky, of McKeesport, Irene Person, of East Pittsburgh, and Betty Jenko and her husband, William, of Export; a sister-in-law, Alma Jurkiewicz, of Westmoreland City; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. Those wishing may contribute to a charity of choice.
