Dave was a wonderful mentor, colleague and friend. I will always be appreciative for the wonderful opportunities he provided the staff and students at Langley and IUP. God bless you.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. The wake will be held Saturday around 3 at Yellow Bridge Brewery on 66 in Delmont. We'd love for you to come out, have a beer, and share a story of Dad. He was a great guy, and we hope to give him a good send off. -Dan Rotigel

We are so sorry to read of Dave's death. There are so many happy memories of our time together a Langley High School. Dave quickly captured the respect and love of both the students and faculty. I will miss him and never forget. May God Bless him and his family. RIP.

We will all miss you at Franks. I always enjoyed having a beer and talking with you when the jukebox wasn't turned up too loud. Rest In peace Doc.

I will always remember you Dave, you were a great man who was always willing to help others. You will be sorely missed, but now you can debate the operation of maytags in the hereafter with the men who designed them! Rest in peace my friend

R.I.P. Dave. Under that cranky, curmudgeonly exterior you had a good heart. We'll miss you! <3

Dave was quick to lend a hand or offer an opinion. He loved to "stir the pot" and make people think differently. Always a joy to be around at an engine show, ready to lend you his tools or help you find the part you were missing. We have lost a giant in our hobby, he will be missed but certainly remembered and honored at every show we attend. God Bless Dave, you certainly made it fun and interesting for us all.
