Elvira M. Wissinger, 87, of Latrobe, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, in Clare Bridge, Murrysville. Born June 11, 1924, in Latrobe, Elvira was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Grace (Little) Keeno. Elvira had previously worked for Kennametal Co., Latrobe, and was a member of the Derry VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her parents, Elvira was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Wissinger; a daughter, Michele Wissinger; and two brothers, Robert and Ronald Keeno. She is survived by a daughter, Toni M. Aloe and husband, John P., of Rector; a brother, Clarence Keeno and wife, Lucy, of Latrobe; a sister, Helen Weller, of Ligonier; a sister-in-law, Sara Keeno, of Latrobe; and two grandchildren, Taylor McClintic, of Ligonier, and Devon McClintic, of Boston. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Church, Ligonier, with Monsignor William G. Charnoki as celebrant. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ligonier Endowment Fund, 120 E. Main St., Ligonier, PA 15658-1248.
