Many years ago, my mom, husband and son and I would go to breakfast every Sunday at the Sherwood Inn....we loved Kay....she made us feel special, always waiting on us promptly and treating us like royalty. She loved my son, who at one time had a full body case from the waist down at the age of 2....she catered to his every need. He will be heartbroken when I tell him of her passing. My deepest sympathies to her family. Much love to you all. Julie Brown(Everett, formerly of Tacoma)

Joyce,
I was so saddened when you told me of your mom's passing, but also grateful that her suffering was over and she could be reunited with Ebony and the rest of her family. The two of you brought many smiles to my face over the past couple years, and I loved to hear your mom talk about the kitties. I miss her visits! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My mother, Sumiko Walker, and Kay use to work together at the Sherwood Inn in Tacoma. I can remember the times when I would go to visit my mother to get advice from Kay. She always made me smile, but more importantly she would make my mom laugh and was a friend to her that spoke the same language. Thank you Kay for what you meant to me, my mother and my family.

I remember Kay from the Sherwood Inn. I am saddened to learn of her passing. She was a joy & loved being teased by my husband (who passed away April10,2009). A great waitress, friendly & kind.
