I have great memories of Roy from years ago at the Lake, enjoying the camp fire, playing horse shoes -- Roy was famous for his steady form and his many ringers! Blessings to Sandy and the whole family as you celebrate wonderful memories of him.

Sandy,
I'm truly sorry to learn of Roy's passing. It's an incredibly sobering experience when someone who I have respected so much, is gone. My wonderful memories of Roy will make the grief a little easier. Memories of growing up with Keisha and coming over for dinner with Roy never passing the opportunity to harass me! Memories of walking past him and always addressing him as "Herr Herting", after I started learning German in school. He will absolutely be missed, remembered, and respected.

Dear Sandy,
I got to know Roy through you for all the Wonderful things you have done for my mother and me and for taking such wonderful care of Heather. I don't know what I would have done without your help and for being a wonderful friend to my family. You and Roy were such good friends to my Mother and for looking out for her after my Dad passed away. You will always be in my heart for your kindness and for your caring. I pray that you are kept in Gods arms and he watches over you. I will always be there for you.
Love Always,
Robert (Paul) Bennett

Dear Aunt Sandy and family....it was with sadness that I learned from Shirley of Uncle Roy's death. I used to love him telling the story of when I was a little girl and he was trying to "round me up" hollering to Mommy (Beulah) "I'm heading her off at the pass". I guess that was his start of loving horses so much....being my cowboy! A great man has passed, a loving husband and father and although he is gone, our hope is to "see you later". My love and prayers to all of you and I am sorry that I will not be able to say so to you each in person.
With heartfelt sympathy....gayle (Klingler) Meister, Centralia, WA

To the Herting family, We pray that you feel the love and strength that is being sent your way during this difficult time. Al and I feel so blessed to have been included in your families BBQ's when Tom and Ellen were in town. I remember the first time I met Roy, he wasn't feeling well, but he came out and sat at the picnic table and visited, and it was clear that he loved having his family around. God Bless all of you!!
