As I sit here at our kitchen table in Fortlands Charleville Co.Cork Ireland that I write these few words about Sister Martha Joseph Rooney o.s.f. It is with great sadness and deep regret that we learned of your passing from your niece Mary Esther. It brings an end to a life long association with this house and the Barry family especially our aunt May. Your visits with your sister Nellie were always looked forward to. Even after the death of our aunt May you kept contact with us. We will miss the ten o'clock phone calls to Tacoma. You will never be forgotten here in Fortlands. You had a lovely long life and you packed so much into it. Our sympathy to Mary Esther, Dave, Muireann and Aoife. May you rest in peace. "Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis" Margaret and Maria Lyons, Fortlands, Charleville, Co. Cork. Eire.
