ARTHUR JACKSON Obituary

Arthur Leo Jackson Arthur L. Jackson, 80, of Milton, Washington, passed away January 13, 2011. Art was born January 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, to Grace and Leo Jackson. Growing up in Kalamazoo, Art joined the Marines in 1946 and later served in the United States Air Force. After moving to Pasco, Washington in 1952 Art later began what became a long career at Pacific Northwest Bell where he held many positions, including Repair and Installation Technician, Central Office Technician, and retired in 1983 as a second level Engineering Manager. After retirement Art and Marge moved to their log cabin at Timberline in Packwood, Washington where they lived until 2003. Art and Marge enjoyed 18 years of motorhoming to Arizona and summer trips to Montana. Their joy of the outdoors included camping, hunting, and fishing. They moved to Milton, Washington in 2003. Art loved watching the Mariners, going to the Muckleshoot Casino where he had many friends and was an avid Western movie fan. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Marjorie; brother Tom; 7 children, Craig, Dawn, Scot, Denning, Jaime, Joy and Tommy; 18 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Josh Grubenhoff. Contributions may be made in Arthur Jackson's name to Franciscan Hospice Health System, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, WA 98466.
