Barbara Blakeslee Obituary

Barbara Jean Blakeslee A longtime resident of Tacoma passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Born on June 27, 1937 to the last Edward and Jean Schenk, Barbara attended Franklin Pierce High School until 1955 and married the late Warren L. Blakeslee. She leaves behind her children, Warren E. (Donna) Blakeslee, Sue Gabbard (and Mike), Darren L. (Linda) Blakeslee, Shelly (Jim) Kuempel, her grandchildren, Todd Sprague (deceased), Amber, Amanda, Brett and Brandon Blakeslee and Melissa Gabbard, great grandchildren, Sophia Blakeslee and Joel Johner, numerous nieces and nephews and her sister Roseann (Jim) Bagley. Barbara retired from St. Joseph's Hospital where she worked as a dietician. She enjoyed shopping, gambling and mostly spending time with her companion, Victor R. Johnson (Dick). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I worked with barb at st.joes hospital. she was a wonderful and sharing lady. she will be greatly missed by us all.

Im so sorry about Barbara, my heart gos out to her Family, Barbara was my friend for 25 years, i worked with her at st Joes Hospital, we worked side by side in thoses years, they were good years, with my friend. i will miss her forever, and will always remember her kindness to my family and to all she met,.
