As the daughter of two of Buddy's oldest friends, Wade, who died six years ago, and Tootie Trepagnier, I know how much Buddy was loved and will be missed. Buddy was always in our lives. My mother met Buddy in San Diego, when she was 18 yrs old. She was a new Marine wife and she was selling War Bonds door to door with her landlady. Buddy answered the door and the friendship began for all of them. That was 69 years ago. There were always visits with Buddy and his family. Gail, we send our love to you and everyone. Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. I think of your family whenever I think of our life on Millwood Road - sitting in the kitchen with your mother (and mine), and listening to your father's music. How lucky you are that he lived such a long and productive life. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

Mr. LaRocca was a very intelligent and colorful person, and a dear friend to my parents. The sound of a marching band playing a military song has always reminded me of Buddy......and I have many fond memories of the LaRocca clan!
What a long and wonderful life he had!!

Bart was a good friend and mentor. I do wish I had met him much earlier.

While never having met Mr. Larocca, he sounds like he was a truly wonderful man who will be missed. A Marine and musician and married for 63 combined years....what a full and wonderful life he must have led. My condolences to the family.
