Benjamin Boettcher Obituary

Benjamin Lee Boettcher Ben, born January 8, 1960, was diagnosed with cancer September 14, 2010. He left us to be with his Savior April 22, 2011. Ben grew up on the family ranch in Alder, attended Columbia Crest Elementary School, and graduated from Eatonville High School in 1978. He began logging and ranching with his dad and brothers at an early age and was a partner in Boettcher and Sons. He was a member, elder, and faithful servant of Alder Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Alder Community Club. Ben loved to travel. His excursions with family and friends took him to many parts of the world, including England, Laos, and Mexico. He is survived by his parents Bill and Robin Boettcher, brothers Daniel (Marie), Caleb (Sarah), and Seth (Wendy), sisters Sarah Larson (Ron) and Abby Evermast (Josh), eighteen nieces and nephews, and many dear and treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 30th, 2011, 1:00 pm, at Alder Presbyterian Church, 50109 School Road, Eatonville, WA.

I think of your family often and truly enjoyed our interactions during my childhood. Fond memories of a wonderful family we so admired. I'm sorry to hear of Ben's passing, although I know his travels on April 22nd put him in the comfort of God's arms. May all of the wonderful memories bring your family peace.
