HHS Class of 1945

As the obituary mentions, Doris tried to attend the annual Hamilton High School Class of 1945 reuions in spite of living across the country.Every year, someone on the committee would say "I hope Doris can make it this year" and she usually did. Unfortunately she won't make it this year but our loyal class mate for over 66 years will not be forgotten. Wurf- we will miss you!

Doris Wurfel was my friend from Kindergarten through ninth grade at Kuser School and throughout Hamilton High School. Her many achievements as an educator, U.S, Navy member, writer, and sister and aunt to her family are evidence of her outstanding character. She will be missed. Kathleen McCullough Akey

I am a former student of Ms. Wurfel's. She taught the physical education class at Hudtloff Jr. High School where I attended 1960 - 1962. She was an inspiration and offered great encouragement to me in gymnastics. I will always remember her smile and caring attitude to her students. Thank you, Ms. Wurfel.
