Edwin Hibben Obituary

Edwin Napier Hibben Edwin Napier Hibben was born March 13, 1927 in Seattle, WA to Thomas and Phyllis Hibben. He passed away on April 6, 2011. Edwin grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School and the University of Puget Sound. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was active in World War II and the Korean War. Edwin met Phyllis Ann Hersee in Boston, where he was stationed in the Navy, at a church dance. They married on Aug 30, 1951 after Edwin completed almost 7 years with the Navy. Edwin worked for the Boeing Company most of his career and retired from Boeing. He was a member of Puyallup United Methodist Church, Masons, Eastern Star, and YMCA. Edwin is survived by his wife, Phyllis, son Russell (Geri), daughter Nancy (Michael), brothers Thomas (Lynn) and Jack (Theresa), sister Dorothy (Bruce), and grandchildren Brian (Brandy), Michael, Rachel, Kimberly and Rebecca. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, April 16, 2011 at United Methodist Church, 1919 Pioneer Avenue, Puyallup, WA 98371. He loved and was loved by his family and friends and will be missed.
