FLORENCE FLINTOFF Obituary

Florence Flintoff Florence passed away peacefully in Tacoma on January 15, 2011. She was born in Portland, Oregon on May 26, 1921, and spent most of her life in Tacoma. We say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Florence will always be remembered for her wonderful chicken and spaghetti dinners, served with much love and hospitality. Her family and friends always looked forward to the delicious Christmas cookies she baked, and that she loved to share. Florence, along with her husband George, also loved spending time with family and friends at their beach property on Henderson Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband George Flintoff. They had been married for 57 years. Florence was also preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Henry Schierman, six brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by sons Clifford (Carolyn), Gary, and Richard, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. How can you put your thoughts in words when your heart is breaking I will never forget all the good memories with my best friend and mother in law. She taught me how to make gravy and we cooked
so many times when we got extra produce from other people. I
will miss the talks and especially the last words I Love you to Mary
