Florence Fuhrmann Obituary

Florence Fuhrmann Florence (Flo) Fuhrmann passed away on March 24, 2011. Florence has been married to Oscar Fuhrmann for 43 years. They have lived in Chicago, Illinois, Irvine, California and recently in Federal Way and then Puyallup. Flo had 3 children, Mike, who resides in Eagle River, Alaska and twins, Steve and Sandra, in Tacoma. Sandra preceded her mother in death. Flo was an avid reader, but more importantly in her life was music. Her grandmother taught her piano and she switched to organ after marrying Oscar, who was a part-time musician known to many as "Ozzie." Then they started singing in choirs and continued throughout life. In California Flo learned Toll painting and soon began teaching. Her own work was exquisite. Flo wanted to move home to Washington, being from Kelso, but settled in Federal Way and then Puyallup. Florence has been a loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Both, Flo and her husband, have been active members in the St. Vincent DePaul Church Choir since 2003. There will be a funeral service for her at 11AM on Friday, April 8, followed by a reception in the parish hall, across from the church.

We will miss Flo. She sat next to me in choir & I was treated to her sense of humor. She was independent & NEVER wanted any help in getting up. She was very proud of all Oz accomplished. Her skill at Toll painting is top class. We love you Flo & will remember you.
