Fred Linton Obituary

FRED W. LINTON SR Fred was born March 25, 1921 in Portland, OR; passed away May 3, 2011 in Tacoma, WA at the age of 90. Fred taught in Puyallup schools for 16 years and substituted in the surrounding areas for 9 years. He also served as the District Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and the Good Sam RV Club. He was the loving husband of Dorothy Linton for 56 years; father of F. Warren (Nancy) Linton JR of Tacoma, Barbara (Greg) Kruger of KS, and Beth (John) King of Roy, WA; grandfather of Thea (Lucas), John, Erin, Ashley (Ryan), Emma, and Sarah; great-grandfather of Lucas, Johnathen, and Joshua. Viewing will be Monday, May 9, 2011, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Weeks Dryer Mortuary. A Memorial Service will be Tue. May 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Parkland United Methodist Church, 121st Street and A, Parkland, WA. Followed by a graveside service at Fir Lane Memorial Park and Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Memorials may go to the Church or the Parkland/ Spanaway Kiwanis Foundation, 1902 138th Street East, Tacoma, WA 98445. Please sign our guest book at weeksdryermortuary.com.

Beth, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful dad. I remember all our camping trips with your mom and dad to Gold Bar when we were younger. The prayers of my family and I are with you and your family during this time.
