In 1960 Mr. Busch hired me as a part-time typist during the Christmas season at the National Bank of Washington. After Christmas he hired me full time as a secretary to one of the vice presidents. I did all my work on the Mezzanine, which overlooked the main floor of the bank, and it was also where Mr. Busch had his office. I worked there for two years with him and he became a friend. I was only 20 years old at that time - I am now 71. Of all my employers over the years, Mr. Busch was by far the friendliest, most congenial, and easiest employer to work for.
The last time I saw him was when he came to my father's nursery to buy plants, and I found they knew each other as acquaintances during WWII. He later wrote me while I was in Germany (U. S. Army) and congratulated me on the birth of my first child.
How wonderful for the family to have had such a loving and caring husband and father as the head of their family. My sympathy goes out to you, but may his love, so generously given to you, be with you always. I'm sure there are many memories to share that will ease some of the pain from your loss.
