HENRY SANDAHL Obituary

Henry Edward Sandahl Henry Sandahl passed away January 23, 2011, at the age of 85 in Olympia, WA. He was born in Tacoma to John and Reynaldine Sandahl, grew up in Tacoma, and graduated from Stadium High School class of 1943. Upon leaving high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and served in the Pacific during World War II and the Korean War. Later he received his license as a Civil Engineer and spent 26 years as a Soils-Foundation Engineer with WA State Dept. of Transportation. After retiring from WSDOT, he worked in real estate sales and appraisal in the Olympia area. He loved the great outdoors, and had a passion for gardening, skiing, sailing, hiking, and mountain climbing. Most of all he loved Mt. Rainier, which he climbed many times. Henry will be greatly missed by his family: wife Ginger; his children, Bill (Lori), BG (Herb Reeves), Brooke; step-children, Chad Fischer (Wendi), Kristin Keller (Kasey); nine grandchildren; brother John (Peggy); and many nieces and nephews.
