Howard Sekstrom Obituary

Howard Ernest Sekstrom Born in Alberta, Canada March 2, 1913. Passed away May 16, 2011. A 56-year resident of University Place, WA; graduated from Lincoln High School. He was a Navy veteran and retired as a contracting officer at Fort Lewis, WA. He is survived by his wife June M., his son David E., and daughter Sheryl J., four grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a sister, Florence Erb, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Engh. He is much loved by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held May 20th, 2011 at 3:30 p.m., Mountain View Cemetery. A celebration of his life will follow at the family home.

David, June, and Family -- We knew Howard through his love of boats and wood, and will always remember him sitting in the pilot house of the Willobee G, a big smile on his face, holding court as he greeted folks and told his stories. -- Roger & Kevin
