JEFFREY WILLIAMS Obituary

Jeffrey R. Williams "Touch Down Cougars" Jeff passed away suddenly but peacefully on march 21st with his family present. He was born in Tacoma in 1956. He attended Wilson High School and Washington State University, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He spent years as a child along with his father building soapbox derby cars. He enjoyed playing and watching all sports. He has touched many people with his outgoing personality; no one was a stranger. He is survived by his wife Carol of 32 years, son Brian (Heidi), daughter Emily, parents Charles and Lucy Williams, sisters Susan and Carolyn (Alan), and two grandchildren. You'll be dearly missed. Open House for family and friends Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 1-4 p.m. at 1606 South Mason, Tacoma, WA 98405.

My deepest condolances to the family. Over that last several years I have been privelaged to interact with Jeff, where engageing stories of youth and his genuine love and pride of his wife, children and family. Always with a smile and a wave and always expressive with a spirit that has touched many souls. Jeff is missed but his spirit is written upon our souls. We were better for knowing and having Jeff in our lives. God bless.

Carol & Family - We are so sorry for your loss. Loved his stories and, of course, the big bear hugs! He always wore a smile and had kind words for everyone whenever he came around. We are glad we were able to see him recently.

I have not seen Jeff since our WSU days. I always enjoyed his big smile and fun loving ways. He was a terrific athlete and a great guy to be around. I am so sorry to find out we have lost him.
My heart goes out to his family.
