JOHN BOYLE Obituary

John Frank Boyle Died February 21, 2011, surrounded by family. He was born April 7,1923 in Tacoma. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in both WWII and the Korean War. He retired as the maintenance foreman for the Franklin Pierce School District. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Rose (Mettler) Boyle and brothers Rev. Edward Boyle and Martin Boyle. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorraine of Tacoma, daughters Sally of Parkland, Colleen (Randy) of Issaquah, and Maureen (Dan) of Valley, WA, brothers Donald of Puyallup, Pat of Shoreline, and Rev. James Boyle of Fife. Rosary Tuesday March 1, 2011, 10:30 AM; funeral mass following at 11AM, at St. John of the Woods Catholic Church. Private burial at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Lorraine I am so sad to hear of John's passing. I will never forget him bringing his purple heart to show me, but his heart was with his buddie's he lost at Pearl Harbor. I am honored to have known him. Please call me if you can.
