Kenneth Slinker Obituary

Kenneth Eugene Slinker After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Kenny passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the age of 56. Born Feburary 11, 1955, he joined the Army just after turning 18. While stationed in Germany, he married and had three children. His hobbies included working on cars and motorcycles. He especially loved to do engine repair and custom paint jobs. Preceded in death by his parents Bob and Jody Slinker, he is survived by sons Danny and Kenneth Robert, and daughter Destiny Nancy, all of Germany, brothers Lou of Seattle and Ron (Shirley) of Puyallup, 4 grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the VA Hospital and the Franciscan Hospice staff, especially Lori, Purity, Chris and Amy. Veterans Services at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent will be held at a later date. Family and friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Ken's life from 1-4PM on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011 at the home of his brother Ron 253.262.1784.

Dear Ken's family, I know this is a tough time, yet as his friend for over 35 years he will be Gravely missed. But I know he would want his children and family to go forward in life. He was a good man, so is with "Jesus" now. Love,
