Leah K. Lemon

Leah K. Lemon Leah passed away May 4, 2011 at Life Care Center in Federal Way from advanced dementia caused by a fall at home. She is survived by her husband Don, sons Michael (NM) Patrick (WA) sister Laura Lee Lundgren (WA) nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was born in Tacoma August 1, 1922 to Laurence Q. and Helen Gunther Kelly. Leah lived near South Tacoma during her childhood where her father owned Kelly Furniture Store. Leah's family moved to Lakewood in 1937. She graduated from Clover Park High School in 1940. While attending school she meet her future husband Don. They were married in 1941 and spent over 69 happy years together. Leah loved her family, animals, knitting, gardening, ceramics, camping, traveling and most of all reading. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10AM, Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 909 N J St, Tacoma WA. A reception to follow at the church.
