Leon Gist Obituary

Leon Van Gist "Opa" Born Feb. 10, 1929 to Virgil and Edith Gist in Monette, Arkansas; passed away June 1, 2011 with his loving family by his side. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Gisela Gist. Survived by his children Bill, Doris, Cindy, Marilyn, Edie, Kirk, Doug, and their spouses, 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Loretta. He was a very proud and honorable man who served his country for 45 years. He was a loving husband, father, and Opa, who will be deeply missed. May you soar with the Eagles, Opa. We love you. Services Monday, June 6, 2011, at 12:00pm in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd.
