Mary Hein Obituary

Mary Edith Hein M. Edith Hein, born October 14, 1915, passed away peacefully June 1, 2011 at the age of 95. She was born in Gatshead, England. As a young adult she worked at an ammunition factory in England during the war. Edith came to America through Canada in 1947. She met and married Henry H. Hein on August 30, 1969. She didn't have children of her own, but was welcomed and loved by all of Henry Hein's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Edith Hein is survived by stepdaughters Jo-Ann Leonard and Dorene Fisher, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo at the Eagles Lodge and at Am-Vets. Edith was a member of the Eagles Area 3 Women's Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at the Mountain View Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM. Viewing will be from 12:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. Please sign the online guestbook at www.mountainviewtacoma.com

Edith lived across the street from us in Fircrest for many years. My family was very sad when she moved. We loved Edith & Tucker! She was a great neighbor and friend! Edith was very witty, and I will forever remeber her hearty laugh. She will be missed. Cheers to a life well lead!
