At this time, celebrate the life of a gentle and loving man. I can vividly hear his voice saying, "Soon, Jesus is comin'! Yep. Yep. Soon!" Well, that time did come for Uncle Ron and I'm sure that now he is seeing beyond what he could have ever humanly imagined. In the presence of the Lord right along with Grandpa (Al), Aunt Lorriane, Uncle Gerald, Uncle Leonard and all the others who have gone before. Generations upon generations have now welcomed him finally home. Peace be with you and for all eternity.

I entered Ron’s life around 1945 when his Dad and I married. He was always a hard worker and would ride his bike sometimes for miles to earn spending money by mowing lawns. One of my most vivid memories is when he was working outside or weeding the garden, he would sing at the top of his lungs (the neighbors were definitely serenaded). His favorites were “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “I Want a Girl, Just Like the Girl That Married Dear Old Dad” (I’m not certain that the words were significant…I think he just like the tune.) When he came home from school, he had to have a snack…he inherited his “sweet tooth” from his Dad & his favorites were cookies, jelly roll, pies…anything sweet. As he got older his job at Brown & Haley Candy Company was perfectly suited for him.
He loved his Lord and Savior and his life centered around church ministry: playing banjo, preaching, singing at nursing homes, radio programs…and his favorite parting line was “and may God bless you all real good!” He was one of a kind, dearly loved and he will be greatly missed!

I can just see Ron now chatting and having a good time with Al, Gerald, Leonard, and Lorriane.
