Sandra Hammer Obituary

Sandra Rae (Hart) Hammer Was born on July 10, 1952 in Puyallup, WA to Ray and Donna Hart, and went on to be with her Lord Jesus on April 6, 2011 at home in Puyallup surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in passing by both of her parents. Sandy was Auburn High School (Class of '70) and attended Green River Community College, where she met her husband of 37 years, Wayne Hammer. She worked for the airlines, but once her first baby was born Sandy remained in the home as a homemaker. Sandy and Wayne raised three magnificent children (and one European exchange student); she is survived by them all - Hollie (Jesse), Lacey (Curtis), Scott (Jen) and Emmanuel (Sandrine). Sandy's interests were varied, from volleyball and 'junking' to volunteering in the church, with PTA (Golden Acorn Winner) and her longest commitment to the Young Life BBQ booth at the Puyallup Fair (35 years). Sandy loved the ocean and to travel. She had a unique ability to make you feel special and loved. She loved her customers, friends, family, and especially her grandkids Seth and Sadie (Hollie/Jesse) and Halle and Parker (Scott/Jen). She made home 'Home' and worked to build deep loving memories, and to that end she was extraordinarily successful. If you knew Sandy you are better for it - we all are. We will remember Sandy in a service on Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at 1pm at Sumner First Christian Church, 432 Wood Avenue.

Sandy's Family,
Rick and I want to express our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. Sandy always had a warmth about her and a way of looking on the bright side of everything that was contagious- you couldn't be around her without feeling good. She had such a easy, gracious way about her that made everybody feel they were special to her- I know she always made me feel that way. This morning when I was reading I came across some of God's Wonderful Hopes of Heaven: Prepared place, Peace, Pain gone, Perfect understanding ,Perpetual praise and Gods Presence. This is and will be-so hard. I hope Gods word and the years of love and happy memories will be a comfort to you. All our thoughts and love are with you now and always.
Your Friends,
Rick and Sandi
