WILLIAM BERG Sr.

Rev. William L. Berg Sr. Died on Feb. 3, 2011. Born Nov. 8, 1919 in Elma Wa. to Swedish immigrants Louis and Ruth Berg. After high school he attended Simpson Bible Institute in Seattle, Wa. In 1941 he married his high school sweetheart Doris McAlister. In his almost 70 years of service to the Lord, he pastored in 4 churches throughout the Northwest. Almost 22 years were spent overseas, in china for two years and twenty in the Philippine Islands in missionary service. He retired in 1991 and spent his remaining years living closer to his family. he is survived by his wife Doris, children Mitzi (Ron) Eskes, Bill (Donna) Berg, his sister Juanita Anderson, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will be remembered as a man who deeply loved the Lord and his family. His memorial service will be held March 12 at 2pm at the Tacoma Alliance Church. Donations to the Tacoma Alliance Church.
