JUDY EAZOR Obituary

Judy Ann Eazor Judy Ann (Lundquist) Eazor of Tacoma passed away January 4, 2016. Judy was born February 3, 1944 in Tacoma, WA to Arthur and Fern (Grahm) Lundquist. Judy graduated from Puyallup H.S. in 1962. She spent her early years on Crane Island in the San Juan Islands. Her family owned the island and her father and uncles logged it. She and her brother Jim would take a boat across Pole Pass to Orcas Island each morning for school. She married in 1964 and had three wonderful children; Vanessa Leigh, Dalonda Gene and Colby Brud. She divorced, and then met the love of her life in 1986, Sam Eazor. They married in 1992 and have enjoyed nearly 24 years of marriage. As a young adult Judy enjoyed volunteering with the Pediatrics Guild and the Rainier School for mentally challenged adults, sewing clothing for herself and her children and being a loving stay at home mother to her family. After her children were more independent Judy returned to the workforce for the Weyerhaeuser Company and later Summit Trading Company. She retired in 2001 to spend more time doting on her loving husband. In her spare time she enjoyed outings with Sam on their boat to the Hood Canal or San Juan Islands to go crabbing and clamming, Mineral Lake for fishing, and to Lake Chelan for boating vacations. She also enjoyed cooking together with Sam and her family, appreciating a good glass of wine and visiting her family in their numerous activities. Judy is survived by her husband Sam, daughter Vanessa (Wayne), daughter Dalonda (Bob), and son Colby (Natalie); eleven grandchildren: from Vanessa-Jeremy (Evva), Ryan, Brianna, Trevor and Savannah; from Dalonda- Ronny (Lisa), Courtney, Ryleigh and Sam; from Colby- Max and Maycie; two great-grandchildren: from Ronny-Siena and Liam; and numerous extended family. A special thank you to all of Judy's longtime friends and nurses and doctors who have been so supportive during Judy's battle with cancer, most especially the entire staff at Rainier Hematology-Oncology. Judy was a devoted mother, wife and friend who had a great sense of humor right up to the end that those close to her will never forget. A viewing will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup January 8th, 4 to 8pm; a celebration of her life will be held, also at Powers, on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 9:30 am. This will be followed by a graveside service at Sumner Cemetery. Please share your memories of Judy by signing her guestbook at www.powersfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

As I reflect back on my life, I can truly say that I could always count on my mom whenever and for whatever reason. She was my biggest fan, my loudest cheerleader, my most supportive friend.
My mom was one of the strongest people I knew, as well as, one of the funniest. She kept us laughing right up to the end. She was an incredible mom, an amazing G-ma and an inspiring Great-Grandma. She is one of my favorite people!! We are so fortunate to have had her in our lives.
Judy's Journey began 3 1/2 years ago. It is safe to say, we, her family were devastated at the news of her Ovarian Cancer. She fought this battle with all of her might with her devoted husband and supportive family by her side. She took on each new challenge with bravery. We rallied when she would conquer each phase. We cried when the disease took a wrong turn.
Judy's Journey is over now and we mourn for all that she was and could have been for each of us. She will, however, live on in each of our lives as the greatest person we knew!!
I would like to share with you some of my mom's memorable moments:
One of our favorite phrases from mom is,
"I remember the day you were born!!" She recited it each time we had a birthday followed by the Happy Birthday song, sang from start to finish by her and Gramps.
A couple other of her favorite songs were,
"Smile though your heart is breaking" and "Let me entertain you..."
You know she liked you if she called you Martha.
She was the world's best back seat driver...this was done from the passenger seat.
"Well anyways", was a quote she used from Grandma Fern on a regular basis, as well as, "Good, the more for me",from Grandma Dolly.
She loved cooking and some of her favorite moments were when she was in a kitchen with her family cooking together. A favorite recipe of our family was her famous Nuts & Bolts...aka Chex Mix. We recently were able to enjoy her last batch when someone discovered it in the pantry. It never tasted more delicious!! Thanks Mom!!
As I look around her house I realize that it is decorated with items that have been given to her over the years by her friends and family. When you gave her a gift, you felt as if it was the one thing that she has always wanted. She had a way to make you feel so special.
On behalf of her whole family, we would like to thank you all for coming. If you are here we know it is because our wife, mom and grandma has touched you in some way in your life. Rest assured, you have touched her in a special way too.
In the original words of Grandma Dolly and our favorite toast of Mom's..."Here's looking up your old address."
Peace be with you mom. No more pain and suffering.

Dear Sam and family- I am so sorry for your loss as well as my own. Judy was such a fun person. Her smile and laugh were infectious and could light up a room. Knowing and working with her at Weyerhaeuser and having her as a friend since retirement has been a privilege. The service was perfect. Watch for the signs and know Judy is still with us.

Sam and Family,
Blessings and love surround you as I know this is a really hard time. Judy gave such a hard fight--and we have been honored by her strength. Our class will not be the same without her smile and laughter, but we will hold her memories close.

Dear Sam, Vanessa, Dalonda, and Colby. My love and sorrow go out to all of you and your families. I'm so sad Judy had to leave early. You have been in my prayers and I've asked Heavenly Father to please watch over you and bless you with His Comfort and Tender Mercies. I went to PHS with Judy and several years ago was in your home Sam and felt of your and Judy's wonderful hospitality. Your amazing Wife and Mom always made me laugh so hard. Her dry sense of humor, her one liners would keep me laughing and laughing.

Our hearts are hurting today, as are yours. Judy was very special to us, too. The world has lost a great comedienne. We should get together often to share our memories of happy times-trips taken together, lunches and dinners-all that fun we had, from kindergarten even!

Judy showed me more grace in her last month than I've known in my entire life. I am lucky enough to be married to her son, Colby. He is gentle, loving and reliably funny... Just like his mother. Her legacy will live on in her wonderful children. Sending all my love to Sam, Vanessa, Dalonda, Chobe and the rest of the family. She will be missed.

So sorry for your loss of the light and love of Sam's life and the lives of all her family and friends. We loved visiting with Judy and Sam when they came to Montana to see Dalonda & family. She brightened the room with her presence and positive energy. Sometimes I like to remember that we all have 3 deaths: the first when we take our last breath, the second when we are buried or cremated and we cannot see the face, and the third when no one remembers us any more. Judy will live on in beautiful memories for many years to come. With Deepest Condolences, Rachel, Dave, and Jasper

And I couldn't ask for or have a better one in my Eyes and Heart... She will always be cherished and greatly missed. I also was fortunate to have her as the Loving Grandmother of our children. I also so want take this time to thank her for sharing her Wonderful daughter Vanessa with me...
