She was a Powerhouse of a performer and a pleasure to travel with doing the club circuit (doing her stage lighting and sound)

Emi married my grandfather in the late Nineties, she was a very nice lady, I wish I had gotten to know her better, While we aren't blood, she did treat me like family. Her death still affects my Grandpa today, I do my best to honor her memory.

I knew her from 87-92 88 was an important year I was just getting into performing and learning the guitar. She always kept me going when things weren't going well, she always told me you can do it . Sending me post cards from around the world writing me when she could. One time and this really allowed me to chase my dreams and it came very close. I was having a hard time getting my foot in the door she got everyone in the crue to make me a care package signed this picks drumsticks ect. And I think because if emi and mick I got to live my dream being in a touring band for a couple of years. God bless emi I miss you

A beautiful person,who touched many lives,her fans,friends and family.I only met her once,through her nephew John.She was exceedingly kind and sweet.She had a effervescent,bubbly personality,and charisma.A beautiful voice,has left us,for a better venue,heaven was missing a angel,and Emi is home.God bless her and her family,friends,and all,whose lives,she touched

I am so sad to learn of Emi Jo's passing. My deepest condolences to her family. We knew each other from Gray Junior High, sang in choir together at Mt. Tahoma High. It was she that got me interested again in singing. Emi was a joy to be around. I missed her for many years, but finally got in contact with her again. The choirs of heaven have her beautiful voice. RIP Emi Jo.

I am shocked & very saddened by this horrible news. May Emi sing with the angels. R.I.P. My condolences to her family. Emi was a gorgeous lady. And I remember her from the Motley Crue videos. Especially, Wild Side. God Bless!

Emi Jo, you were one of the Best Friends I ever had growing up. So many memories of you and I. You were always a special angel here on earth and now you are an angel in Heaven. I always felt safe when i was with you. Now that you have your wings, you can sing forever with the angels up there. I love you more then you will ever know. I was saddened to hear about Emi's passing. She was such a kind, thoughtful and delightful human being. She and I spent a lot of time together in my junior and senior year. It was through her, I was introduced to my late husband. We spent many Friday nights cruising 6th Avenue, which included Highland Hill parking lot and Herfy's and wherever our travels would go. She had an infectious laugh.one I will always remember. My husband and I were married in 1977 and Emi sang the Lord's Prayer. It was amazing. I can still see her twirling her hair too. After I was married and got on with my life and eventually having children, she pursued her singing career. Though we lost close contact, I would still receive an occasional letter or postcard, handwritten, in the mail from hersaying she was on tour, in some other part of the world. It was always special to receive those from her. My oldest son remembers the trip to Toys R Us in the limo. Just some memories I have of a special friend. An amazing person, gone too soon.

Although Emi and I went to school together, we got to be friends when she was the lead singer in the band Canon. Canon was the house band at. Old City Jail in Tacoma. She was such a special person and so gifted. Rest in Peace sweet Angel.

Emi was the lead vocalist in our group called Mestiso. I am pretty sure it was her first group singing Top 40 songs at the time. We used to practice at my parents house in Tacoma not far from where she lived with her parents. I went to Mount Tahoma High School with her. She had a beautiful voice and was a very good and sweet person. I had one heck of a crush on her at the time. God speed Emi, I'll never forget you.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Emi. We lived a block away from Emi and her family and went to school together and went to the same church. I have a lot of great memories of Emi and all the other kids in the old neighbourhood. We used to go watch her sing with her beautiful voice. Emi will be greatly missed, love you girl, RIP.

My sister Eileen and I (Beth Halverson) grew up a block away from Emi and her family. I have so many memories of her and I climbing the trees in her yard, riding bikes and chasing each other on the hill behind her home. I had the pleasure of hearing her beautiful voice at the "Back 40" many times. Although I hadn't seen her in years, the world has lost a beautiful angel. RIP sweet girl

I will miss Emi Jo. I planned on visiting her on my next planned trip to Seattle-Tacoma. She and I sang together at Mt. Tahoma Studio Choir and shared a love of music.
