Emery M. "Jim" McClellan

Emery M. "Jim" McClellan, 90, Seymour, passed away at 5:13 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Mr. McClellan was a 1937 graduate of Scottsburg High School. He was a farmer early in his life and worked for Farm Bureau as a service technician for 17 years, retiring in 1974. He was a past member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Seymour. He enjoyed ham radio, CBs and gardening and was a coin collector.
He was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Scott County, the son of Raymond B. and Erma H. Payne McClellan, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Irma Eisenbeis McGinley on June 15, 1963, at Seymour. She preceded him in death on July 27, 1987.
Survivors include his children, Thomas (Carlotta) McGinley, Camby, Gerald (Judith) McGinley, Seymour, and Dayna McGinley, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Michael McGinley, Patrick (Denise) McGinley, Jeffrey (Patricia) McGinley, Lori (Jeffrey) Wilson, Jennifer (Michael) Patmore, Emery Sanford and Joana Baysinger; great-grandchildren, Ryan McGinley, Rachel, Thomas, Isaiah and Clayton McGinley, Haley and Harrison Mowery, Bobby and Brandon Wilson, Christopher and Emma Patmore, Brian and Sommer Sanford and Audrey Baysinger; and a sister, Norma Jane Veach, Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Demeris Lagle, and brother, Ivan Lewis McClellan.
The Rev. Aaron Rosenau will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour.
Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran High School or to the donor's choice of charity.
