Margaret Kate Rodefer BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Margaret Kate Rodefer, age 103, passed away Jan. 11, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Washington County, Va. to Joseph and Sara Ellen Hensley, and had resided in the area for most of her life. Kate was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rodefer; one son, Robert Burris Rodefer; one daughter, Ann Stratton. Survivors include three daughters, Christine Lawrence, Sue Jones, both of Blountville, Frances Stephens and husband, Robert of Charlotte, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, Randy and Lloyd Rodefer, Pam Whitaker, Joe Albert Jones, Greg Jones, Barbara Whitaker, Mary Lou Rhymer, Jon Jones, Sandra Stephens, Rob Stephens, Laura Alderidge; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Girls,
I'm was so sorry to hear of aunt Kates passing; I was hopeing she would make it til she was 105; but I know like you she has gone to a much better place.The last time Gerald and I came to see her she recognized him, but not me and the three of us joked about it. I thought alot of her.
