Edgar "Cougar" Grizzle ABINGDON, Va. Edgar "Cougar" Grizzle, 74, formerly of the Back Valley section of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born Jan., 4, 1937, in Russell County, Va. he was the son of the late Nannie Grizzle Sutherland. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kate R. Grizzle; one daughter, Roxanna Waugh and husband, Tony, Abingdon; two sons, David Grizzle and wife, Gail, Cleveland, Va., Chris Grizzle and wife, Tawnya, Greeneville, Tenn.; one grandson, Justin Grizzle and wife, Jessie; four granddaughters, Jessica Grizzle, Brittany Grizzle, Laken Waugh and Macinzee Grizzle; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Jayden Grizzle. A memorial service will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Duane Musick officiating. The family will receive from 6 until 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Combs Funeral Service, 291 Fincastle Road, Lebanon, VA, (276)889-4444 is serving the Grizzle family.
