Joyce Marie Baker Hayes LEBANON, Va. Joyce Marie Baker Hayes, age 68, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at her home. She was employed by the Laurels of Lebanon and retired after 22 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Community Heights Church in Lebanon. She was born and raised in Clintwood but resided in Lebanon for the past 33 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter D. Baker; her mother, Violet M. Baker; an infant daughter, Michelle Hayes; sisters-in-law, Glenda Baker and Jody Baker. Survivors include daughters, Melinda Robin Davis and husband Darrell, Lebanon, and Melissa Marie Hayes, Lebanon; grandchildren, Ashley Davis Perkins and husband Jessie, Cleveland, Nicolette Thompson and fianc‚ Kyle Anthony, Richlands, Briton Gabriella L. Wallace, Lebanon; great-grandson, Charles Seven Gilbert, Cleveland; sisters, Patricia Newberry, Bristol Tennessee, Sheila Phipps and husband Ronald, Clintwood; brothers, Ronald Jack Baker, Clintwood, Doug Baker and wife Nancy, Abingdon, and Larry Baker and wife Patsy, Clintwood; also many nieces and great nephews; and an "adopted" daughter, Carolyn Steele. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, in the Combs Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Allen Jessee and the Rev. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be: Darrell Davis, Kyle Anthony, Jessie Perkins, Neil Smith, Joshua Baker, Alex Baker, Logan Baker and Nichols Smith.
