Lillian Kiser Puckett

Lillian Kiser Puckett LEBANON, Va. Lillian Kiser Puckett, age 91, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. Born June 24, 1919, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. Kiser and the late Sarah Catherine "Kate" Jessee Kiser, and was the wife of the late Herman Puckett. She was a member of the Lebanon Community Fellowship and had served as a volunteer as a pink lady at Russell County Medical Center, the Christian Center and the American Red Cross. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace, Millard "Red" and Garland K. "Togg" Kiser; three sisters, Frances Meade, Mabel Patton and Katherine Harmon; great-grandson, Zachary Levi Ketron. Survivors include one daughter, Ellen Haring and husband Ralph, Bristol Tennessee; two sons, Mike Puckett and wife Marketta, Lebanon and Phillip Puckett and wife Jeanette, Lebanon; four sisters, Effie Taylor, Kingsport, Tenn., Eva Byerley, Castlewood, Irene Jenks, Detroit, and Caroline Kiser, Lebanon; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, in the Lebanon Community Fellowship with the Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. The committal service will be conducted in the chapel of the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, burial will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, Va. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Community Fellowship, Building Fund, P.O. Box 99, Lebanon, VA 24266.
