Mary Belle Mullins Lester BELFAST, Va. Mary Belle Mullins Lester, age 65, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, in the Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands. Born April 16, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Ida Ellen Mullins, she was the wife of the late Marvin H. Lester. Mary grew up and went to elementary as well as high school in Tazewell, Va. She married the love of her life, Marvin H. Lester, on Oct. 8, 1966. She was a member of the Russell County Senior Circle and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Everette E. Mullins and his wife Anne. Survivors include a brother, Tom D. Mullins and wife Jan, Billings, Mont.; nephews: Tom W. and wife Cindy Mullins, St. Ignatius, Mont., Scott and wife Sherry Mullins, Hardy, Neb., and Lance and wife Renee Mullins, Colorado Springs, Colo.; great-nieces, Sarah Jean Johns, Sadie Mullins Bailey and Naomi Mullins; great-nephews, Sean Mullins, Jamie Mullins and Jermiah Mullins; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lester and wife Dottie, Dublin, Va., and Eugene Lester; sisters-in-law, Louise Rupert and husband Clyde and Nora Lester, Belfast; special friends, Mary Lou Boardwine and family, Clarence and Lola Herron, Nancy Osborne, David Farmer, Dorothy Jackson and Dan and Trinie Brainard. A special thanks to the staff of Heritage Hall in Tazewell, Dr. Mario Stefanini, the staff of Clinch Valley Medical Center, Vickie's Field of Flowers and Belfast and Dennison United Methodist Churches. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec., 8, 2010, in the Combs Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Paul McNalley officiating. Burial followed in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. The family receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the charity of your choice.
