Maxie Irene (Wheater) Rasnake CLEVELAND, Va. Funeral service for Maxie Irene (Wheater) Rasnake, will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Russell Baldwin, Rev. Roy Lee Wilson and the Rev. Cecil Musick officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Memorial Cemetery, Lebanon, Va. James Rasnick, Brett Rasnick, Dave Rasnick, Michael Hendricks, Rene Gallardo, Doug Artrip, Norman Artrip and Tim Rasnick will serve as pallbearers. Radfert Rhea, Carl Rasnake, Delmar Kiser, James Chafin, Gene Rasnake, June Rasnake, Mitch Rasnake, Joe Hawkins and the men of the Cleveland Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cleveland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 313, Cleveland, VA 24225. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, after 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Maxie Irene (Wheater) Rasnake, age 83, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, in the Maple Grove Health Care Center.
