Addie Jackson Brooks MARION, Va. Addie Jackson Brooks, age 90, died Friday, Dec., 11, 2009, in Hampton, Va. She was born April 27, 1919, in Spruce Pine, N.C. She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church and had lived most of her life in Marion, Va. Mrs. Brooks was an avid quilter and was most especially devoted to the care of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rush B. Brooks; one son, Darrell Brooks; and one grandson, Stephen Keith "Stevie" Brooks. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Ernie Eberle of Richardson, Texas, Judy and Ronnie Weade of Hampton and Christine and Justin Terry of Marion; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Lila Brooks and Steve and Janet Brooks, all of Marion; one sister, Lola Pruitt of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Gary Trout, Reverend David Neitch and Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Marion. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
