Alice Evilee Roop Morris KONNAROCK, Va. Alice Evilee Roop Morris, age 70, known to family and friends at "Evilee," went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va. She was born on Jan. 22, 1940, to the late Cainey and Eunice Trivett Blevins Roop. She had lived most of her life in the Azen community of Konnarock, and was a member of the Azen Baptist Church. She loved going to church, reading, and listening to Gospel bluegrass music. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie "Boots" Morris, and a brother, Ninevah Blevins. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Blevins and her husband, Melvin, of Konnarock; a granddaughter, Mandy Blevins of Konnarock; one brother, Ethin Roop of Mountain City, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Edna Blevins of Konnarock; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the graveside at Garmin Blevins Family Cemetery, across from Azen Baptist Church, with Bro. Johnnie Osborne officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Valley Health Care Center for all the care they gave Mrs. Morris and also a special thanks to all her friends that called, sent her cards, and visited her while she was ill.
