Amy Ruth Lawson Hamm Amy Ruth Lawson Hamm, 97, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at the Heritage Hall Wise, Va. She was a retired employee of the Flatwoods Job Corp., and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Surviving are four sons, Darris Hamm and his wife, Beulah of Defiance, Ohio; Doug Hamm and his wife, Shirley of Bristol Tennessee; Albert Hamm of Coeburn, Va., and Winfred Hamm and his wife, Ruth of Coeburn, Va.; five daughters, Iris Eddy of Los Angeles, Calif., Myra Simmons and her husband, Warren of Pensacola, Fla., Joyce Koon and her husband, Larry of Marietta, Ohio, Kay Meade and her husband, Donnie of Coeburn, Va., and Jane Reeves and her husband, Larry of Wise, Va.; a special niece, Betty Bays Trent of Kingsport, Tenn.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Funeral Services will follow in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Coeburn with Brother Les Ritchie officiating. Graveside Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery Coeburn, Va.
