Anna Cecelia Johnson Vernon Anna Cecelia Johnson Vernon passed away Dec. 8, 2009, at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon, Va. Anna was born on Nov. 26, 1915, in Jeffersonton, Va., where her father ran a general store. She lived most of her life in Culpeper. Funeral services will be held at Clore-English Funeral Home, 1190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA 22701, on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Donnelly officiating, with interment to follow in Culpeper Masonic Cemetery, Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her memory to Samaritan's Purse; or Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 301 E. Valley St., Abingdon, VA 24210.
