Anne Jones

Anne H. Jones JONESVILLE, Va. Anne H. Jones, 87, passed away at home on Sunday, May 30, 2010. Anne was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a telephoning pioneer by operating one of the first C&P telephone switchboards in Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Jones; infant daughter, Sarah Patricia Jones; brother, Dr. Benjamin Hines; sister, Virginia Allen. Survivors include: her children, Thomas R. Jones and wife, Rebecca of Jonesville, Benjamin E. Jones and wife, Elaine of Jonesville, Marietta "Susie" Parks of Jonesville, Barbara "Rosie" Surber and husband, Jessie of Jonesville, Vivian Hedrick and husband, Kurt of Richmond, Va., John Jones and wife, Patty of Bristol Virginia, Doris Sturgill and husband, Rick of Jonesville, and Howard "Joe" Jones; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Hines; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Jones' life will be held at 8 p.m. with Elder Kurt Hedrick officiating.
