Anthony Waits Anthony Waits, 21, died on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. He was born on Feb. 28, 1988, in Greeneville, Tenn., but had spent the past 14 years in Bristol Tennessee. He was a 2006 graduate of Sullivan East High School and had worked for American Vending for several years. He was also a private first class in the Army Reserves. Anthony loved playing baseball and tennis among many other sports. He also enjoyed caving, airsoft, and video games. Anthony was a caring person who always strived to help those around him. He had touched many lives and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Austin and Mary Blazer. He is survived by his mother, Diana Harrin Perkins and husband Mike, of Bristol Tennessee; brothers, Randy Woods, of White Pine, Tenn., Jeff Harrin, of Bristol Tennessee, and Josh Perkins, of Dayton, Ohio; and sisters, Christy Belt, of Greeneville and Kim Cutshaw, of Greeneville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening, Nov. 6, 2009, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home and from 12 until 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 1 o'clock on Saturday in the Chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home, with Dr. Bill Goforth officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in Eastern Heights Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be sent to and viewed at www.oakley-cook.com Mr. Waits and his family are in the care of Oakley Cook Funeral Home.
