Betty Miller Lane BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. Betty Miller Lane, 75,went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at noon. She was born and raised in Kingsport to the late Conway C. Miller and Ora Mae Jenkins Miller, and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Tri-Cities EM (Evangelical Methodist) Bible Camp. Betty was very devoted to her children and her husband who was a pastor and she traveled everywhere L.D. would go. She was a Girl Scout leader and Brownie leader. Also preceding her in death are sister, Edith Miller Smith; and great-granddaughter, Cayla Elizabeth Nicole Hickman. Betty is survived by her loving Husband, Rev. L.D. Lane, of Blountville; sons, Ron Lane and wife, Lana, of Mt. Carmel, and Bob Lane and wife, Cindy, of Blountville; daughters, Kay Davis and husband, Larry, of Kingsport, and Carol Cress and husband, John, of Johnson City, Tenn. Also surviving are her brothers, Rev. Earl Miller and wife, Nell, of Kingsport, and Walter Miller, of Hudson, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kelli Lane, Bobbi Hickman and husband, Caleb, Joy Alexander; two great- grandchildren, Lacie Hickman, and Abigail Hickman; several nieces and nephews; and very personal friend, Jill Hamilton Taylor. The family of Betty Miller Lane will recieve friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Tri-Cities Funeral Home, with funeral services being conducted at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Tri-Cities Funeral Home Mausoleum. Carol, Kay, Rev. Lane, Ron and Bob... We are deeply saddened to learn of Miss Betty's death. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Carol...I hope you can feel my hand holding yours, even though I can't be there with you. I share your tears and will support you patiently as you begin to heal. Please allow your friends to give you strength and courage during your time of grief....we love you so much. I am there in spirit and will hold you tightly when I get back...
