I am so sorry to read that Betty Jean has died. She and I were roommates at Radford in 1963 and 1964. After I left Radford we lost all contact and I regret that. I loved her laughter and wonderful positive self. Linda Watson Snider, Wilmington, NC

To BJ's Family,
BJ was truly a blessing to all who ever met her. I first met her as young 4-H'er in Nelson County. Her joy for life, her optmistic outlook, & her giving spirit are a few attributes which made her friendship so endearing.
God bless & keep you all especially during your grief.
With heartfelt sympathy,

Our sympathy to BJ's friends and family. I know that as a neighbor, she quickly became a treasured friend. I loved her optomism and truly giving nature. BJ is someone to look up to. I am glad that my girls knew a wonderful person in BJ Minton.

My sincere sympathy is extended to BJ's family, friends and adopted family who will surely miss her jovial laugh and friendly personality. I got to know BJ when she worked as the 4-H agent in Nelson County. I was her assistant for 2 years and during that time I got to know how much she truly cared for others. She was committed to the ideal of preparing her 4-H'ers for a promising future. Many young people have benefitted from her tutelage. She will be missed by many.
BJ,Rest with God.

Our sincere sympathy to BJ's family & adopted family. She was a very special person who opened her arms to the church, the community & to those whom she loved. We have known her adoptive family, the Hayes, for many years. BJ has been an integral part of their family since the kids were born. BJ's unconditional love & care for others was returned to her during her long illness. Though I did not know BJ well, I know the kind of person she was through the Hayes family, who truly loved & adored her. Thank you Rita Hayes, for being by her side constantly during the long days & nights of her illness, for being her uncompromising advocate, her caregiver, her spokesperson when she was no longer able to voice her needs, for so much more none of us are to know but you. "Well done, good & faithful servant".
In deepest sympathy,
Bo & Deb Read
