In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Sharon & Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Bill. He was such a good man and a joy to talk to. He worked with my father at Reynolds and remembered me from when I was just a little girl. I work for Dr. Blanton and I always made it a point when he would come out to the office to go out and say hello and to see how he was doing. I wanted to come and say my final goodbye's on Friday, but the weather was so bad and it breaks my heart that I did not get to do that. He will be deeply missed but he is in a wonderful place. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharon, Mrs. Elliott and Family,
I am sorry to be reading of Billy's passing. I recall the days that The Elliotts had the store there on Oakview and I lived in Rice Terrace and would trade there a lot. The Elliotts were always very nice just as the McCroskey family was that bought it from the Elliotts. When the Elliotts sold the store to the McCroskey family we didn't see much of them anymore.
Sharon, when I saw Billy with you at the country singing down on state street year before last, that was the first time that I had seen him in many years. When I saw him, I knew that he had passed in my life before and when he spoke, I knew who he was. It was so good to see him again. I recall the days that Mr. Elliott had the store and he would put Leon and Billy to work in it (I think that Billy probably got by with less work). Not that Billy didn't work, for he did. I think that he probably just got spoiled more, even by his big brother Leon. All of us kids like going there because Mr. Elliott ran a good store and he enjoyed the kids coming around and standing around and talking. We all enjoyed each other. It was like the old men that like to go to the country hardware store and hang out and talk- only we were teenagers going to a city friendly fruit market. We all liked the whole family and missed them when they left; however, was lucky to have another wonderful, friendly family come in right behind them, The McCroskeys, and they remained there way pass my days in Rice Terrace. Those were good days and good people. I am thankful for running into Billy again.
Sharon, I pray that God will be with you and the family during this sorrowful time and give you peace and comfort. I would love to see Mrs. Elliott again for it has been a very long time since I have seen her. Please give her my condolences just encase she doesn't see this and she probably won't. She may not remember me but if her memory is still good, she probably will from Rice Terrace. May God bless all of you and be with you. Since the weather is so bad and I couldn't go by the funeral home yesterday, I am paying my repects in this way in memory of Billy and to you.
