Charlie Warren Pippin BRISTOL, Va. Charlie Warren Pippin, age 92, passed away on Dec. 28, 2009, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, a son to the late Harry T. and Lucy Townsend Pippin. He was a former construction worker for Tickle Brothers and attended Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Pippin; a sister, Gertrude Gill and her husband Ralph; a brother, Henry Pippin and his wife Viola; and a grandson, Ricky Phillips. Survivors include: daughter, Betty Phillips and husband Elmer; sons, Donald Pippin and wife Laura, Bill Pippin and wife Lori, Hobert Pippin, Guy Pippin and wife Judie, C.W. Pippin and wife Mary Ann; brother, Albert Pippin and wife Mary; several grandchildren, great-grandchldren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Statzer officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
