Charlotte Jane Sexton Musser MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. Charlotte Jane Sexton Musser, 50, formerly of Russell County, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born March 16, 1959, a daughter of the late Rev. Lester Sexton and Della Nunley Sexton, she was a 1977 graduate of Lebanon High School. Charlotte was a resident of Abingdon moving to Myrtle Beach eight years ago. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Nick Musser; step-daughter, Leslie Nicole Musser, Johnson City, Tenn.; sons, Colby Lane Musser and Matthew Dylan Musser both of the home; grandchildren, Matthew Logan, Mikala and Emily; mother, Della Nunley Sexton, Lebanon; sisters, Vonda Fields and husband Cledis, Castlewood; Vickie Widener and husband Don, Lebanon; Debbie Smith, Bristol Tennessee; Lisa Sexton and friend, Tony Bise, Bristol Virginia, and Linda Sexton and friend Freddy Jackson, Bristol Virginia; brother, Larry Sexton and wife Jennifer, Lebanon; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Paul Price and the Rev. Roger Hearl officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark Smith, Jerry Fuller, Dwight Nunley, Bobby Nunley, David Nunley, Billy Wayne Wampler and Percy Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews and Ernest Sullivan, Dickie Pippin, and Dean Corky Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at the funeral home.
