Cleo F. Owens GLADE SPRING, Va. Cleo F. Owens, 87, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at her home. She was born Sept. 10, 1923, to the late Wyndham D. and Cora Sanders Farris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John E. Owens; her son, John S. Owens; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors are her daughters, Pat (Gene) Wise of Bluefield, Va., Susan (Tim) Farley of Prince George, Va., and Renee (Michael) McIntyre of Christiansburg, Va.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Sue Grady of Fayetteville, N.C.; brother, Harold Farris of Odum, Ga.; special daughter-in-law, Libby Owens; and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend special thanks to caregivers, Carol Goodpasture and Rexine Davenport. A graveside service for Mrs. Owens will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring with Pastor Tom Sullivan officiating. No visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seven Springs Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 876, Glade Spring, VA 24340.
