Derald D. Dinger

Derald D. Dinger BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Derald D. Dinger, 78, 430 Mountain View Road, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, in the James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center. He was a native of Lake City, Ill., where he had lived until moving to Bluff City in 1983. Mr. Dinger was a son of the late Oscar and Mildred Wood Dinger. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during the Korean conflict. Mr. Dinger was an automobile manufacturing supervisor before retirement. He was a great husband, father and grandfather who loved and enjoyed his family. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Heiland Dinger; a daughter, Sandra Moore, Piney Flats; two sons, Steven Allen Dinger, Bristol Tennessee, and Bradley L. Dinger and his wife, Christie of Maryville; a brother, Joe Dinger, Decatur, Ill.; a sister, Earline Inman and her husband, Charles, Decatur, Ill.; five grandchildren, Megan Rosenbalm, Andrew Hall, Joshua, Derek and Chelsea Dinger; four great-grandchildren, Sage, Jade, Devon and Aiden Dinger; a step-great-granddaughter, Lilly Rosenbalm; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Dinger will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. John Love officiating.
